The Benefits/HR Coordinator will provide administrative support for the firm's Benefits and HR functions and processes. Working under the supervision of Benefits and regional HR management, this position will! participate in a variety of firmwide benefits and human resources activities, including firmwide benefits administration support and administrative HR/recruiting support for the firm’s seven offices in Asia.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • As a dedicated representative of the firm’s internal benefits and human resources service centers, provide information to staff and attorneys regarding routine and complex human resources-related firm policies, practices, and procedures
  • Provide administrative support for the Benefits and HR departments, including, but not limited to, data collection, entry, verification and audit, and other associated assignments and tasks
  • Maintain PeopleSoft HRMS data per firm-wide standards; prepare HRIS reports, as requested
  • Maintain case management application, run utilization reports and update activity logs as needed
  • Maintain interfaces and good working relationships with key ! firm stakeholders, other internal departments and external ent! ities
  • As assigned, provide assistance with various recruiting administrative processes, such as background and reference checking initiation; facilitating offer letter creation and approval process; and candidate tracking and processing of new hire information in PeopleSoft and other firm tracking systems.
  • Conduct new employee benefit and human resources orientation; facilitate certain exit processes
  • Coordinate various other benefits and human resources-related events and programs
  • Keep current on any changes to benefit plans, policies, procedures and applicable laws
  • Work closely with Benefits and Client Services to facilitate various benefit initiatives and projects
  • Complete various administrative duties (e.g., filing and other record-keeping/retention, copying, faxing), as directed
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Benefit Administration, Busine! ss or other relevant field (strongly preferred) â€" or â€" a combination of related coursework and relevant experience
  • Minimum of two years directly related benefits administration and/or human resources experience
  • Previous HRIS maintenance/administration required; PeopleSoft HRMS experience is preferred , but not required
  • Must have demonstrated working proficiency in commonly used MS Office applications (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel); other applications experience and familiarity is helpful (e.g., PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and security regarding highly sensitive matters and information, in accordance with firm standards and protocols
  • Strong customer service skills: genuine and demonstrated desire to assist others, anticipate and act upon customers’ needs and follow-through timely and appropriately on commitments without regular reminder
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and ! listening), including the ability to assess the audience and demonstrat! e good judgment in word choice and communication medium
  • Must possess the ability to convey routine and complex information clearly and effectively in writing with adherence to common spelling, grammar and punctuation conventions
  • Relationship-building and conflict management skills with a diversity of individuals at all levels
  • Effective time, task, and project management skills
  • Initiative and the ability to identify opportunities for process improvements and tasks that need to be completed
  • Ability to lead by personal example and assist others in adapting to new or changing processes and protocol
  • Previous experience working in a professional services environment is desirable, but not required
  • Working proficiency with Chinese or other Asian languages is desirable, but not required
