Accountability Children's Administration (CA) is currently recruiting for a dynamic and motivated Case Review Program Specialist . This position requires extensive travel including some overnight travel within Washington State. The position is assigned to CA Headquarters Olympia but the physical work location may be negotiable to some locations in Washington.

Duties:
This Case Review Program Specialist position is a m! ember of a Central Case Review Team convened as part of Childr! en’s Administration’s (CA) quality assurance process to improve the quality and consistency of social work practice in every area of the state and promote accountability and improved outcomes for children and families served by CA. The Central Case Review Team measures and evaluates compliance and quality of CA social work practice. This position is responsible for developing, planning, and implementing quality assurance projects and functions for the Children’s Administration (CA). This position is responsible for the development and implementation of statewide office reviews and other program reviews including Indian Child Welfare (ICW) reviews, Division of Licensed Resource reviews, Intake reviews and other special reviews. Case reviews support CA's quality assurance process in meeting federal requirements in the Children and Family Services Reviews (CFSR). Case reviews measure progress in practice areas in the Washington State Practice Improvement Plan ( PIP) iden! tified as areas needing improvement in the federal CFSR, agreements reached with the plaintiff's attorneys in the Braam class action lawsuit, GMAP and legislative requirements through c omprehensive reviews all focused on improving child welfare practice and outcomes for children. This position provides analysis of case review data, identifies practice trends within an office, region or statewide and develops recommendations to CA management and regional leadership. As a member of the Case Review Team, this position works with CA and regional leadership to develop corrective action plans, practice improvement plans and tracks progress and implementation of the plans. The Case Review program specialist coordinates with the CA Quality Assurance Team, conducts further analysis of local or statewide trends in office reviews, special reviews, and fatality reviews that will inform actions needed for system improvements.

Qualifications:
Required education, expe! rience, and competencies A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in social ! work, a social or behavioral science, public administration or related field.
Three years of progressively responsible experience in Children’s Administration (CA) programs managing, supervising or delivering Child Protection Services (CPS), Family Voluntary Services (FVS) or Child and Family Welfare Services (CFWS) Proficiency in the use of FamLink and Microsoft Office applications. Demonstration of strong writing skills in preparing clear, effective reports and other documents. Demonstration of strong oral communication skills in group facilitation and case staffings. Strong endorsements from current and previous supervisors and other leadership regarding knowledge of child welfare best practice, quality of practice and work ethics.

Desired education, experience, and competencies Knowledge and understanding of federal and state statutes as they apply to child protection and child welfare programs Knowledge of the federal Child and Family Service Review (CFS! R) requirements and Indian Child Welfare (ICW). Quality assurance principles and methodologies Program evaluation, research methods, data interpretation, monitoring and tracking systems and procedure analysis Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
