Allsup Inc., a leading Social Security consulting firm, is seeking a Social Security Claims Hearing Representative to represent Socia! l Security disability claimants at the Hearings level of the claims process.
Allsup is a nationwide provider of Social Security disability, veterans disability appeal, Medicare and Medicare Secondary Payer compliance services for individuals, employers and insurance carriers. The company is based in Belleville, Ill., near St. Louis.
The Social Security Claims Hearing Representative represents Social Security disability claimants at the Hearing and Appeals Council levels of the claims process. The Senior Consultant interviews claimants, completes forms and develops evidence to establish benefit eligibility. The Senior Consultant also prepares some written briefs, prepares claimants for the hearing experience, attends oral hearings, and counsel! s claimants and client companies on the status of benefits. Fr! equent travel is required.
ALJ hearing or ODAR experience required. Disability claims experience with Allsup Inc., DDS, SSA, the LTD division of an insurance carrier, or as an attorney. Excellent written, verbal and human relations skills. Knowledge of the medical and vocational aspects of the Social Security disability determination process recommended. Minimum requirement of College Degree.
