The Office of Professional Pharmacy Education, part of the UW School of Pharmacy, currently has an outstanding opportunity for a part-time (80% FTE) Program Assistant. This individual will coordinate and track affiliation agreements and student paperwork required by practice sites. P! rovide project scheduling and faculty support for interprofess! ional education (IPE) coursework.
Manage communications and scheduling for preceptor development programs and projects. Provide staff support to members of the Office of Professional Pharmacy Education (OPPE), including the Associate Dean, the Experiential Education Directors, and Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience (IPPE) and Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) program coordinators. Work independently with minimal supervision to accomplish program and office goals. Core competencies for this position include professionalism, leadership, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proficient organizational, technical, and analytical skills.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * In conjunction with the Office of the Attorney General, the DeanâÂÂs Office, and Health Sciences Administration, manage site affiliation agreements, including initiating, tracking, updating, and problem solving. * Manage student IPPE and APPE pre-requisi! te records, including immunization status, first aid/CPR certification, submission of forms, and attendance at required orientations. Complete site-specified paperwork where necessary for students going to IPPEs. * Provide classroom support for IPE and OPPE-related coursework and preceptor training.
- Provide staff support responsibilities for the IPE committee. * Coordinate schedules for faculty and students in meetings and classes related to IPE. * Prepare and summarize Interprofessional Education (IPE) course and faculty evaluation data. * Schedule and oversee assessment activities for student portfolios.
- Maintain preceptor development website including writing and posting program announcements. * Serve as point person for communications with preceptors about development opportunities offered by school. * Organize, set-up meetings and social events for preceptors. * Organize, track, and report preceptor development continuing education completed ! by preceptors.
