Fi! lter is hiring a full-time Creative Director to work for a photo-sharing website that thrives on innovation! We’re looking for someone who gets how content is being consumed by the audience, has a strong eye for content and creative, can focus on product, gets the latest in mobile technology, and has perhaps a dash of UI experience! If you’d love the chance to transform their site into the leading destination for online photo sharing through greetings, slideshows, invitations, and collages, then come on down! We’re looking for someone who loves challenges, can translate business strategies into compelling products, advocates the team mentality, and livens up a room with their energy.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING Work collaboratively with VP Product and product team to strategize and make recommendations for changes to the creative function to meet goals, competitive threats, and support strategic plans. Understand strategic goals an! d brand; analyze the creative team, environment, processes, te! chnologies, etc., to determine areas needing improvement; and build and direct a creative function aligned with and supportive of those goals. Make decisions on a daily basis that ensure compelling content and creative quality.
Set expectations and standards (build a culture) for creative team attitude, behavior, teamwork and professional development. Lead accordingly. Direct the activities and professional development of creative team members, including conducting performance reviews, taking corrective actions and recommending promotions. Study the creative marketplace, assessing where our product and content stands against competitors.
Drive constant improvement and innovation in our product’s creative quality and capabilities. Managing outside resources, including freelance artists, animators, and photographers. Managing art direction, design, and copywriting of projects. Superior understanding of social expression products and content including technologies. Ability to judge creative concepts and copy, and clearly communicate creative direction to others.
