We are looking for a highly motivated test engineer to strengthen the testing in our development of existing and new devices. You will be responsible to qualify specific components in cooperation with our HW designers and perform tests on existing HW based on available or newly to be elaborated test specifications. You will also support our certifications by preparing test specimens and supporting tests from remote or at the test lab. You would also support Proof of Concept phases, when testing new devices or specific trials with our customers.

Your main areas of accountability

  • Qualification of components and design ideas
  • Testing of prototypes and new products based on available test specifications
  • Electronics bring up and electronics modification
  • Creating and reviewing test specification for in house testing but also for ICT and FCT at our production partners
  • Supporting production when setting up automated test systems (Labview)
  • Preparation of test units for certification purposes, supporting certification tests from remote and on site
  • Planning, implementation, coordination, execution and post processing of proof of concept phases

Desired qualifications

  • Excellent understanding of electronics
  • Deep knowledge of instrumentation (Oscilloscope, Multimeter, Spectrum Analyzer, VNA)
  • Capability to build remote interface/control from/to an instrument
  • Design of automated test system for validation testing
  • Problem solving
  • Background in electronics
  • Good language skills spoken and in writing in English (Italian and German are a plus)
  • Good documentation skills for internal documentation and documentation for our customers
  • Eager to learn and bring in new ideas to improve our way of testing
