Role Summary:

CHC Helicopter have an exciting opportunity for Document Controller to join the team in Aberdeen on a Fixed Term contract! This is maternity cover and the position will report to the Continuing Airworthiness Manager responsible for providing administrative support to AOC post holders by ensuring all company documentation is up to date and in line with regulatory and company requirements at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of a Document Controller are:

  • Providing administrative support to AOC post holders by creating, reviewing and distributing company manuals and documents
  • Updating Document Revision Requests and Notice of Proposed Amendments
  • Distributing manual revisions to UK bases via the Heli-One Technical Library
  • Updating master copies of all manuals and procedures held by the Technical Library in Aberdeen
  • Ensuring company electronic data sources and Intranet are up to date and accurate
  • Liaising with other Libraries within CHC
  • Liaising with the UK CAA when revising manuals and documents
  • Providing support to auditors and regulators during audits of the Technical Library or Company department
  • Compliance with Continuing Airworthiness regulations, Part CAMO, CAME, Work Instructions and all relevant Safety & Quality requirements to ensure the highest standards of their work
  • Provide effective and timely response to queries from the organisation
  • Responsible for the successful and timely management of varied projects as set by the Continued Airworthiness Manager
  • Engage in the improvement, development and embodiment of the Continuing Airworthiness Organisations process, procedures and work instructions
Qualifications, Skills & Attributes:

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Experience with publication management
  • Experience with creating, editing and publishing technical documentation
  • Experience of using MS Office products which are relevant to the position
  • Experience using electronic library software is preferred
  • Ability to work on own initiative and within a team environment
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Be an effective communicator, highly credible with strong interpersonal skills
  • Be able to deliver to targets and deadlines within the department
  • Be able to work in a busy environment on a daily basis
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English language
