Essential Job Functions

The Account Executive or Advocate Engagement Manager oversees the team’s interactions with patient advocates involved in projects for pharmaceutical! clients and their agency partners. To be successful, the Acco! unt Executive or Advocate Engagement Manager must efficiently oversee the recruitment, evaluation, media training and management of patient advocates who participate in activities for pharmaceutical clients. Responsibilities include:

Appropriately interacting with clients, advocates and partner agencies as a representative of the network, including responding to requests for information;

Nurturing and developing effective relationships with clients, advocates and partner agencies;

Understanding client policies and procedures, guidelines and forms and working with the Account Lead to ensure account team adherence;

Overseeing daily work flow and making team assignments with general direction from Account Lead;

Overseeing advocate recruiting, including interviewing and assessing patients’ ability to participate in activities (media interviews, marketing videos and other activities);

Overseeing advocate media training even! ts for live presentations;

Overseeing the placement of advocates through phone and email communications, including oversight of their travel logistics;

Following company and client protocols to vigilantly collect and protect patient and client data which requires accurate and timely documentation, including adverse event reporting;

Independently writing and submitting materials to support patient advocate networks, including creative briefs, policies and procedures, talking points for patient advocates, brochures and other materials;

Managing network Microsoft Access and proprietary database system to record all information concerning patient recruitment, communication and utilization for information management;

Managing technical database issues that arise; drafting technical documents;

Travel to advocate events, video shoots and/or media training summits up to 25%.

Educational/Skills/Minimum Experience Require! ments

B.A. in English, Journalism, Public Relations or related! field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience required;

Minimum of 3 â€" 7 years of work experience in public relations or affairs, advocacy relations, and/or health care; AGENCY experience required;

Previous work with patients and health care staff and/or in the health care field desired; Excellent verbal and written skills (writing samples requested);

Superior interpersonal skills, such as being a good judge of someone’s skills and anticipated fit for identified activities;

Demonstrated success in detail-intensive work;

Proven experience to work on and prioritize multiple work projects simultaneously;

Ability to anticipate and solve problems;

Proven track record of developing and maintaining excellent relationships;

Ability to work in a dynamic environment where work priorities can often change;

Skilled in Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; experience in! Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator or other creative design software a plus.
