Lifelong AIDS Alliance empowers people living with or at risk of HIV/AIDS and other chronic conditions to lead healthier lives. Chicke! n Soup Brigade (CSB) is LifelongÂ's meal program, providing fresh meals and groceries to people living with HIV/AIDS and other chronic conditions. Currently serving over 1,700 clients annually through 140,000 meals, 35,000 grocery bags and 240 nutrition classes, CSB is poised for growth, looking to broaden its client base and feed more people in need.

DEFINITION:
The Director of Chicken Soup Brigade is responsible for leading Chicken Soup BrigadeÂ's nutritional programs, including its fresh meals and grocery programs; educational programs related to food and nutrition; and comprehensive care services for nutritional clients. Moreover, this role will help develop and implement strategies for growth and expanding program offerings.

This position is part of LifelongÂ's Leadership Team and reports to the Chief Operations Officer. This is a full-time exempt, non-union, regular position.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Agency Leadership ! : Actively participates in the senior leadership team of t! he agency; partners with fellow agency directors on identifying and solving agency-wide issues and opportunities, making connections among seemingly unrelated issues; willing to be the only champion for an idea or position; anticipates future consequences and impacts of decisions.

CSB Leadership : Leads the CSB cross-functional team including care coordinators, food production, warehouse, delivery, volunteers, dieticians and nutritionists; communicates a compelling and shared vision; creates strong morale and spirit within the entire CSB team; responsible for the hiring, training, development of staff, performance evaluations and ongoing performance management; constructs compelling development plans for team members.

CSB Operations : Lead the development of policy and procedures; program standards, metrics and evaluation; and the annual budget for CSB; oversee and conduct grant-writing requests for public funding and work closely with the De! velopment Department on private grant-making and donor solicitation; ensure client data reporting systems are followed and maintained and provide accurate and timely reporting to both private and public funding entities; delivers bottom line results while maintaining a high-level of customer service for all clients.

Programs : Facilitates ongoing conversations with both internal and external partners on how to expand and grow CSB; partners with CEO/COO as needed to determine how potential ideas will positively impact clients and CSB operations; surfaces new and different ideas that help move CSBÂ's programs forward in new and creative ways; drives the creation and monitoring of annual CSB goals and objectives for all nutritional services.

Clients : Oversees the planning and coordination of services in conjunction with other agencies to ensure participation within a continuum of care services for people with HIV/AIDS and other chronic conditio! ns: develop and manage new and existing program initiatives that enable! both CSB and Lifelong to be proactive and responsive to a wide range of clients; assure the quality of care and/or service delivery standards for all programs within CSB.

External Relationships : Interacts and collaborates in a professional manner with community care partners through actual participation in community meetings, committees, task forces, etc; negotiates skillfully in tough situations with both internal and external groups.

ORGANIZATIONAL CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Attend and participate in a! ll-staff, CSB and Lifelong capacity building trainings and events.
! Remain active in the recruitment and appreciation of volunteers.
Participate in LifelongÂ's Employee Performance Management Process.
Work effectively and productively with others (including supervisors, colleagues, volunteers and clients).
Regular and reliable attendance, with regular and reliable hours as defined by your supervisor.
Knowledgeable about the progression and treatment of HIV/AIDS.
Maintain confidentiality of financial, donor and client records.
Perform all duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors or MasterÂ's degree in relevant field (e.g., Culinary Management, Social Work, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, Health Administration, Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Business, etc.) or equivalent experience leading organizations.
  • Strong experience in design, implementation and evaluation of human services programs; knowledge of local nutritional, health care and social services community; u! nderstanding of Food Innovation Districts, food deserts and food hubs.
  • Experience leading large, diverse teams; possess an understanding of professional boundaries; can work comfortably in a diverse workplace.
  • Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and complete multiple projects and deadlines in a time-sensitive environment; proven ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment; ability to respond quickly to change; ability to develop good working relationships with internal and external customers; demonstrated ability to work effectively under stressful conditions.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both verbal and written form; comfortable with public speaking and public outreach; experience with group facilitation, conflict resolution and a working knowledge of organizational development issues.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; experience working with Provide and Microso! ft CRM databases;
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and walk up one! flight of stairs.
  • Able to occasionally work a flexible schedule that will include evenings and weekends.
