Boeing is seeking an experienced paralegal to join the Law Department's Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Practice Group at our Longacres site near Seattle, Washington. Duties include providing support to Ai! rcraft Contracts attorneys, including negotiation and drafting of contracts, with particular emphasis on the purchase agreement assignment process for aircraft deliveries and related financing; providing support to BCA Supplier Management attorneys, particularly in the area of contract reviews and screening client and external inquiries; performing factual and legal research with specialized software (e.g. LexisNexis, WestLaw,), as well as the internet and the Boeing intranet; supporting attorneys as they provide legal training to the Company; and providing as needed general support to all areas of law handled by the BCA Practice Group.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to work well with supervising attorneys, internal clients, customers, suppliers and outside counsel and a solid working knowledge of the law governing contracts, with some experience handling asset-based financing transactions. Candidates must have excellent communication skills, ! both oral and written, necessary to explain and persuade legal! positions to others, including attorneys and paralegals representing companies that do business with Boeing; and strong computing skills with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint & Adobe. Candidates must be self-motivated, capable of meeting deadlines, organized and detail-oriented.
