Overview:
As an Admissions Partner (AP) in our Nashville-based office you will be at the forefront of Contessa's new and highly innovative care model that allows patients who are clinically appropriate to receive hospital level care in the comfort of their own homes in lieu of inpatient settings. As an AP, you will leverage Contessa's proprietary workflow platform, advanced telehealth technology, and
interdisciplinary network of doctors, nurses, social workers, and ancillary providers. APs then coordinate with clinical staff to who determine the patient's eligibility who in turn organize the initial delivery of services for our patients at their home. As critical member of the admission team prompt and patient centric service is a must to ensure a seamless experience for our patients, Care Coordinators, and providers engaging with Contessa's care models.
Responsibilities:
  • Screens the Electronic Medical Record for eligible patients; distributes cases to Care Coordinators for further work up
  • Provides prompt, courteous, excellent service to internal and external customers
  • Verifies insurance eligibility through various portals
  • Heavy data entry required inputting patient information into Contessa's care management system
  • Uploads documents to an electronic medical record and Contessa related systems
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required
  • Experience: 3-5 years of professional healthcare experience
  • Work Schedule: required to work evening shifts - 12-8p
  • Position provides coverage in various time zones, therefore starting hours may vary/rotate, potential to work from home at times based on business needs and supervisor approval.
  • Typing proficiency demonstrated at least 60 words per minute
  • Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, Internet Explorer or Edge,
  • Ability to multi-task, self-starter and ability to work with teams
  • Ability to work weekends, and rotating holidays. This role works directly with market RCCs in assisting with care coordination - must be flexible based on patient needs and escalations.
Preferred
  • Education: Associate Degree ideally in healthcare preferred
  • Medical Assistants, Certified Nursing Assistants, Medical Assistants, Medical Secretary, or Allied Healthcare paraprofessionals encouraged to apply
  • Experience working within Electronic Medical Records, strong phone communication skills
