Accountable for managing the mid-size, complex situations that require a high level of technical expertise and knowledge. Assigns tasks to the Specia! lized Fiduciary Administrators, monitors progress and approves completed work. Will be responsible for coaching, developing, and mentoring more junior level officers and administrators within the team. Responsible for coordinating information and activities with external business partners (Attorneys, CPAs, and Fiduciary Accountants, third party vendors, etc. ), and with internal support partners (FA?s, Sales, Tax, Compliance, SAM, ART, Operations, Technology Groups and Trust Administration, etc.) to ensure accurate, timely and efficient administration, and to manage business risk. May act as a technical resource within the larger group and / or with field based officers. BS/BA is required. Non-licensed associate.

Functions specifically include working with Merrill Lynch Trust Company, Trust Officers on trust and investment related activities including; asset allocation monitoring, investment platform changes, entity profiles, overdraft management etc.

Qual! ifications

Required Skills: "Must" have these ! skills to be minimally qualified

2+ yrs experience in reading and interpreting trust/estate documents.

  • Working knowledge of the interpretation and practical application of document provision, trust and estate law, taxes, investments, and the legal framework of trust administration.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in trust administration field.
  • Experience working with Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a multi-task environment.
  • Ability to take ownership for solving problems and to make sound decisions within area of responsibility.
  • Ability to work with urgency in responding to client requests, to develop personal rapport with clients, and to treat clients in a courteous and respectful manner.
  • Excel in organization and time management skills.
  • Detail oriented.

  • Desired Skills :
    Experience working with PACE or another trust accounting system.
