Our Default Servicing team engages, understands and advises consumer real estate customers of available solutions to resolve mortgage delinquencies.

Identify, maintain, track and log requested documentation for mortgage workout review. Communicate with attorneys, borrowers and/or third parties through the process on loan modification decision, current status, options, timelines, coordination touch points, and borrower obligations.
Duties include (not limited to):
Answer inbound inquiries from attorneys/borrowers regarding status of the loss mitigation, loan modification, short sale and foreclosure process; Interview borrower to understand attorneys/borrowers specific situation; identify and request the appropriate documents required for loan modification review. Access information on multiple systems t! o inform attorneys/borrowers of loan terms, important dates and deadlines; Communicate and coordinate with multiple Servicing departments (both internal and external to WF) informing the attorneys/borrower of current status, options, next steps; remain as the single point of contact to borrower throughout the loss mitigation, loan modification, and foreclosure process.
Ensure necessary information and complete packages are received in a timely manner, maintained, tracked, and logged in multiple systems. Place outbound calls to notify attorneys and borrowers when additional loan document information is required; follow up on loan documents. Notify and inform attorney and borrowers of decisions as they are made. Work with attorneys and borrower to get loan modifications signed and closed; to obtain broker information for short sale process; provide information to attorneys and borrowers on the escalation/complaint procedures/process within WF. Ensure attorneys and bo! rrowers understand their obligations throughout each step of process, i! ncluding timelines and coordination touch points with other Servicing partners.
Effectively work in a team environment in an effort to achieve team/volume goals and provide superior customer service. May conduct research and determine resolution for title/collateral perfection issues and may include title claim filing to recover losses. Obtains required documentation for mortgage workout review across multiple portfolios/investors in accordance with different state Mediation guidelines. Collaborates with external attorneys, borrowers, state mediators and/or third parties through the process to a loan modification decision. Ensures attorneys and borrowers understand their obligations through each step of process, including timelines and coordination touch points with other Servicing partners. Informs borrowers/attorneys of decisions as they are made. Ensures necessary information and complete loan packages are received in a timely manner.
Basic Qualificatio! ns
3+ years experience in a direct customer contact, collections, loan workout, sales or financial services experience.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in a financial services industry preferably with mortgage servicing, loss mitigation or collections and/or 1+ year of paralegal experience.
- Experience in Pipeline Management.
- Retail Mortgage experience to include document preparation preferred.
- Excellent Organizational skills.
- Experience building relationships/rapport with borrowers.
- Ability to analyze credit documents and solve problems.
- Ability to prioritize and maintain a large volume of multi-faceted work.
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to a fast paced and changing business environment.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Working Knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
Preferred Skills
- 1+ year or Mortgage Processing experience or paralegal experience.
- Attorney/Client Communication.
- Demonstrated Pipeline Management Skills.
- BS/BA Degree.
- 3+ years of Mortgage Processing experience underwriting/Processing experience.
- Sales/Negotiations skills.
- Experience conducting Quality Reviews.
- 1+ year management or team leadership experience.
- MSP/ Fidelity/CPI/LPS & LIV system knowledge.
