The Attorney General's Office (AGO) serves more than 230 state agenci! es, boards, commissions, colleges and universities, as well as the Legislature and the Governor. The Office is comprised of over 500 attorneys and 700 professional staff.
The General Services Division of the Attorney General’s Office is recruiting for permanent full-time Office Assistant 3. This position is located in Tacoma.
The Tacoma Division provides a wide range of legal services to many agencies of state government. The Tacoma Division consists of approximately 36 assistant attorneys general and 41 additional staff including legal assistants, paralegals, and other professional support staff. Our General Service staff provides quality reception, supply ordering, copy projects and other support to the office, as well as to an additional two sections, Consumer Protection and Torts.

Duties:
T! his position is responsible for performing complex clerical du! ties which include, but are not limited to:

  • Photocopying, printing and scanning projects for Tacoma Division staff;
  • Answering phones and greeting visitors to the division;
  • Receiving and processing incoming mail and deliveries;
  • Reserve, setup and maintain conference rooms;
  • Backup for the maintenance of state vehicles assigned to the division;
  • Backup for arranging the maintenance and repair of multifunctional devices and other office equipment;
  • Backup for maintaining library.
Qualifications:
High School graduation or equivalent plus two years clerical experience.
Incumbent must have a current valid Washington State Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one prior to employment.
Applicants for Office Assistant positions with the Attorney General’s Office are required to take a skills assessment prior to being appointed to a position with the agency.
