The Role Reporting to the Manager, Business Operations, you will become our new central resource for all analysis, primarily focusing on performance and operational analyses. In essence, you will collect data from multiple sources (SalesForce, our customer / member relationship management database, our time tracking system and others), crunch the numbers to identify trends, opportunities and potential issues, and then make recommendations. For example, you might compare a particular service's price with the typical number of hours we put in and recommend a change in the pricing.

You'll support people throughout the organization as internal customers, working with them to understand their needs around both regular and ad hoc reports and analysis. In addition, you'll take steps to ensure high quality data, perform data entry on occasion, and establish databases, data systems and data collection processes as needed.

You also will lead two Service Delivery Coordinators. Why Wa-Emp Strategic impact -- this role involves plenty of hands-on, tactical work, but you'll also be able to make an impact on multiple levels. First, of course, you'll not only run the analyses but also make recommendations that will help drive stronger performance in a variety of areas. You'll also centralize a data analysis function that, until now, has been dispersed across Washington Employers. In addition you'll help the two Coordinators grow and develop.

Professional development -- you'll broaden your experience with a variety of analyses in areas such as budgets, forecasts, financial plans, governmental requirements, statistical reports, cash flow projections, and business forecasts. And it will be much more than merely churning out pre-packaged reports -- you'll have plenty of chances to make deep dives. The Coordinators use both quantitative and qualitative data, so you'll gain exposure to the qualitative side. Your success in this role could set you up to pursue other opportunities in our organization.

Great company culture -- you'll find a relaxed and collegial environment at Washington Employers. We definitely practice what we preach: creating member loyalty is one of our primary values and we do an excellent job of it, in large part by being loyal to our members, demonstrating respect, and offering expert advice. We encourage all our staff to grow professionally and we value work/life balance. Our offices overlook Lake Union.

Upbeat atmosphere, positive energy -- you'll join at a time when vision and leadership have sparked a great deal of enthusiasm and excitement at Washington Employers.

Excellent compensation -- in addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical insurance, a 401(k) as well as a defined benefit plan, and more.

Keys to Success You'll spend your fair share of time at the computer, but this role also requires the interpersonal skills to collaborate with people in all areas of the organization. In addition, once an analysis is complete and the report is delivered, you'll spend time with the internal client to ensure that they understand and can make good use of the data.

During your first six months or so you will produce some reports and analyses, but you'll also focus on becoming familiar with our organization, our business and service lines, systems and processes, as well as the major responsibilities of the two Service Delivery Coordinators. By the second six months you'll know you are succeeding if you are able to:

Identify areas for improvement with current data extraction, accuracy and reporting; provide recommendations for implementing improvements.

Explore and propose new, creative, and logical methodologies for collecting, extracting, analyzing and reporting on data and information.

Review data and final reports with a critical eye to identify data errors and research to uncover root cause.

Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the daily work, roles, and responsibilities of the Coordinators so that you can step in and assist with back-up duties for Affirmative Action plans and surveys.
