Supervise and coordinate department lending personnel. Act as a resource/facilitator for personnel in the department. Personnel includes CSC Lending Loan Officers as well as support personnel such as Branch Quality Coordinators and/or Loan Officer Assistants.

Supervise Loan Officers and other personnel in evaluation of all information connected with residential loan applications. Verify, through outside sources, the validity of the information, calculate debt-to-income and loan-to-value ratios, and assemble a completely documented file for submission to underwriting for approval. Help Processor/Closers meet underwriting conditions and submit file to closing.

Act as Loan Officer, handling individual loans from origination (a pipeline) and helping loan officers with their files as necessary. This will include FHA, VA, Conventional and special product transactions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The CSC Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the overall origination loan production and related products and services for the Customer Service Center. Handles the distribution of files to assure even workloads and challenges, developing cross-training in different product lines and origination sources.

Acts as focal point for lending questions, problem resolution, and procedure improvements.

Acts as a lead for employee/Reg O loan origination

Produces or supervises production of weekly and monthly production and pipeline reports.

Completes or aides in completion of performance reviews for Loan Officers and other CSC origination personnel.

Works with Department Manager to facilitate communication and cooperation between department personnel and other HomeStreet Bank units.

Originate a pipeline of active loan files. For own files monitors incoming mail and documents for information, verifying the data collected, logging the information into the loan file and computer system and tracking development of information to ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines. Runs credit report and enters loan into DU. After completing a loan file, the Lending Supervisor may, with the Loan Officer do a final evaluation and analysis of the application package prior to submission to underwriting for approval.

Maintain a strong working knowledge of FHA, VA, Conventional and Continental Special Program type loans, including term equity loans and HELOCs, to be effective in supervising the origination of all loans.

Maintain a working relationship with and between staff and customer to promote effective communication between ALL parties.

Maintain record of all loans in process. Act as department data coordinator for loans in process and closed loans.

Maintain knowledge of current trends and changes as it relates to area of responsibility.

Understand and maintain a thorough knowledge of various company products available and communicate same to customers or refer to proper department.

Become familiar with the workings of HomeStreet’s Internet Loan Production (ILP) system, both to use it and to help other Loan Officers with the system as needed.

Propose and implement changes in procedures to streamline processes and improve department performance.

Coordinate department projects under the supervision of the department manager.

REQUIREMENTS:
High school graduate or equivalent.

Minimum four years origination, loan processing, underwriting and/or loan closing experience preferred.

Experience with Windows, Word and Excel required. Mortgageflex, Quick Qualifier experience preferred.

Ability to qualify applicant at time of application.

Ability to read and analyze loan documents to meet underwriting conditions.

Demonstrated human relations skills to lead and work successfully with others, both employees and customers, in a cooperative, professional and friendly spirit.

Must be a self-starter, dependable and work well under extreme pressure.

Ability to work cooperatively with and maintain effective communication and working relationship with co-workers, subordinates, manager, branches, title companies, other lenders, attorneys and home office departments.

Must possess good judgment, ability to accept responsibility and handle confidential information.

Able to work as part of a team as well as independently and with people of diverse backgrounds.

Excellent communication skills -- phone, personal contact and written. Ability to deal with customers, service providers and attorneys in an effective, efficient and cheerful manner.

Accurate in completing responsibilities with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to accept and facilitate change, whether indicated by corporate needs, market or regulatory requirements.

Willingness to work overtime when necessary. Regular and punctual attendance.

Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration under the terms of the Safe Act of 2008. As such, upon active employment with HomeStreet Bank, you will be required to either register via the NMLS Registry or re-register and move your previous registration to HomeStreet Bank's registration. Your continued employment in this position is contingent upon successful registration after your start date and annual re-registration thereafter.
