The primary responsibility is to provide claim consulting and brokerage services to clients to include but is not limited to: coordinate receipt, review and reporting of new losses/claims to Carriers, TPAâ! €™s or appropriate parties, advise Claims Director, Producers and Account Managers of severe losses, manage a diary system to systematically review open claims and proactively assist in resolution, produce loss runs, prepare claims manuals and presentations for clients and prospects, prepare, finalize, and transmit investigation reports; prepare correspondence, documents and other materials; request and monitor issuance of checks from the client trust account; and other general administrative and clerical duties as deemed necessary. Assist the department with managing claims to include investigating claims and collecting evidence. Must be able to work independently, handle multiple tasks, detail oriented, solve day-to-day situations/problems, etc.
Note: 15% processing correspondence/data and accounting functions

Responsibilities
Balancing and prioritizing work responsibilities, organizing files, accuracy of filing, and ! requires strong organizational skills and communications abili! ty.
Claims Processing:
- Setting up, keeping, organizing and updating files
- Produce Loss Runs
- Prepare claims manuals and presentations
- Create case/client files/folders
- Prepare faxes, transmittals and correspondence to clients, carriers and others
- Handle phone calls and client requests
- Schedule and coordinate meetings
- Assist Claims Director with budget, business plans, proposals and other projects
- Coordinate subscriptions and memberships
- Prepare letters, memos, proposals, spreadsheets, reports, forms and other materials from rough draft
- Proofread/edit for proper grammar, spelling and typographical errors
- Request and monitor issuance of checks from accounting
- Works independently and makes decisions independently
- Investigating principally P&C claims and any other lines as necessary Claims advocacy:
- Day to day contact with clients, attorneys, vendors, TPA’s, Carriers and other parties critical to claims processing
- Copying
- Maintain good attendance
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, standards of conduct and house rules, and meets performance expectations.
- At a minimum, maintains satisfactory performance and strives to exceed performance expectations
- Responsible for improving job skills and job knowledge through reading and attending training
- Develops and exercises positive relationships with all others in the performance of the job
- Provide friendly, courteous, competent and satisfying or better service to all customers
- Other duties as assigned.
- Good communication and grammar skills required. Proficiency with MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Five (5) + years of expe! rience in claims processing
- Experience in Property & Casualty ! Insurance claims required.
- Experience with an independent adjusting firm preferred.
- Self starter, able to work independently, able to handle multiple tasks with efficiency and accuracy, organized, and able to exercise good judgment and resolve problems.
- Able to handle confidential information.
- Washington State Producer and Adjuster license needed; if not already licensed, will be required to obtain and maintain Washington State Producer license and Ajuster License
- Strong organizational skills.
