POSITION PURPOSE Design, document and lead solutions to address specific business needs for applications, systems, web sites, and services by using company defined practices, industry best practices and p! roven architectural patterns to deliver value-added solutions and artifacts for business, technology and production implementation for a variety of business units. The Company: This growing and exciting company is responsible for popularizing several tabletop and online strategy trading card games. KEY RELATIONSHIPS This position is an essential member of the Architecture team, and will be involved in creating, strategizing and maintaining the enterprise standards, practices, technologies and directions to provide a systemic solution for all of IT directions. This position will be embedded into one or more solution oriented teams working on a variety of systems.
Presenting the direction to the development staff, producers, product owners and leading them into the technical solution and practices will be fundamental. Architecture-15% System Architecture- 25% Possesses broad know! ledge of the technology with especially strong experience in web services, .NET/C#, eCommerce, SQL, XML, JavaScript, DHTML, and CSS. Solution Architecture -60% Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Possesses a strong working knowledge of the technology with especially strong experience in service oriented architecture, Enterprise Service Bus, Architectural Patterns, Microsoft .Net stack including WCF, SQL Server, C# XML, DHTML, HTML5, JavaScript, PHP and CSS eCommerce, SOX, PCI and PII practices Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people. QUALIFICATIONS Demonstrated abilities to communicate effectively across a spectrum of business, creative, and technology personnel to all levels of the organization Lead groups of developers to meet deadlines and delivery Improve quality of engineering, designing and implementations Time and experience in technology disciplines (minimum of 10 years) architectural practices (specifically separate from development or development le! adership) other than programming highly desirable, e.g., software quality assurance, project management, build engineering and configuration management Familiar with wide range of architectural tools, diagrams, and practices Highly desired to have experience in architectural methodologies and frameworks Significant experience with Magic the Gathering (either online or analog play) is required.
Judge or Tournament Organizer experience desired Knowledge of the Magic Comprehensive Rules required Ability to play a standard format deck in an interview required (may provide own deck) Education and Training: BS, BA or equivalent experience Prior Related Experience: 7-10 years of experience preferred, at least 4 of which have been in an environment where the architect role is not also the business systems analyst, and preferably not the technical lead programmer 2-4 years technology and architecture experience on enterprise or large consumer scale systems 4-6 years as a se! nior programmer 4 or more years’ experience preferred in the domain t! o which the architect is assigned, e.g., game systems, eCommerce, CRM, Human Resources, ERP, etc. Experience aligning retail and digital marketing, and analog and digital play experiences Experience with Distributed Data models, ESB, Cloud computing, PCI and PII desired International experience Travel Requirements (% of time per year) Minimal to none Physical Requirements: Office environment, able to work on computer or phone for long periods of time. .NET/C#, eCommerce, SQL, XML, JavaScript, DHTML, CSS, HTML5, PHP,
