Detailed Description
Res! ponsible for the accurate storing, shipping, and receiving of products to meet company standards of safety, security, and productivity.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Loads and unloads freight from trucks in an efficient and safe manner.
Breaks down and separates incoming shipments.
Moves products to storage areas with proper equipment and efficiently stacks and stores the merchandise in the appropriate area.
Operates any materials handling equipment safely and efficiently as required.
Assists in maintaining the security and safety of the warehouse.
Charges fork lift battery as needed.
Checks location of products in OMNI system.
Picks orders for shipment and assembles various types of merchandise to be shipped.
Counts or verifies freight for accuracy and/or damage and infestation.
Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
Cleans trailers and truck bays as requested.!
Verifies receiving receipts from Accounts Payable.
SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
May stock bins for JIT program.
May perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking for shipment as needed.
Performs additional duties as directed.
Job Requirements
STRENGTH REQUIREMENT:
Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Depth Perception - Three-dimensional vision

Stooping
Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full use of the lower extremities and back muscles.
Crouching
Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.
Reaching
Extending hands(s) and arm(s) in any direction
Handling
Seizing, holding, grasping, turning or otherwise working with hands. Fingers are involved only to the ! extent that they are in extension of the hand.
Fingering
Picking, pinching, or otherwise working with fingers primarily (rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling).
Talking
Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken work. Talking is important for those activities in which workers must impart oral information to clients or to the publics, and in those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
Hearing
Perceiving the nature of sounds. Hearing is important for those activities which require ability to receive detailed information through oral communications, and to make fine discriminations in sound, such as when making fine adjustments on running engines.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION & FORMAL TRAINING:
General knowledge of a variety of basic topics, such as math, reading, basic accounting, typing, etc. Equal to a high school diploma.
B. WORK EXPERIENCE:
Up to 3 months.
