As the Occupational Nurse Consultant for Regional 4 Return to Work, youâll work with injured workers, employers and health care providers to facilitate medically appropriate return to work recovery. Provide education and consultation to department staff regarding medical care for injured workers. Some of what youâll do Review claims and consult with injured workers, employers, doctors, nurses and attorneys to assist with return to work. Provide consultation services to claim managers and other Early Return to Work te! am members to develop strategies for claim movement and resolu! tion. Consult with health care providers to achieve and maintain functional relationship with the department. Prepare presentation and materials in compliance with department rules and policies regarding medical procedures. Identify injured workerâs medical, rehab, and/or RTW needs. Provide medical consulting services for the COHE project. Review and resolve older claims. Make recommendations and attempt to facilitate claim movement and outcome on these claims. Who should apply Bachelorâs degree and current Washington State Registered Nursing License. Experience in occupational health, rehabilitation and/or orthopedics desired. What we are looking for Excellent communication skills; verbal and written. A self-starter able to work independently, determining actions needed with minimal or no guidance. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers. Highly motivated, detail oriented, organized, with excellent follow-up skills. Criti! cal thinker with demonstrated observation skills, and an acute attention to detail. Ability to review and analyze information for use in preparation of correspondence, reports and other assigned tasks.
