Diversity and Inclusion * Commitment to Service The Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS), Economic Services Administration (ESA), Community Services Division (CSD) is recruiting to fill two (2) non-permanent Financial Services Specialist 4 positions within CSD Region 3 Headquarters l ocated anywhere in any of the following Region 3 counties, based on space availability: Clallam, Jefferson, Grays Harbor, Mason, Kitsap, Thurston, Pierce, Pacific, Wahkiakum, Lewis, Cowlitz, Clark, or Skamania.

Duties:
The position serves as an Administrative Hearings Coordinator for Region 3 Community Services Division. This position performs complex duties in relation to establishing financial eligibility, rule interpretation and representing the department in the Administrative Hearing Process! .
Duties include, but are not limited to: Maintains! records of all hearing requests with the required information in the Fair Hearing Control System as per the EAZ manual; Document hearings actions on ACES narrative and in the Fair Hearing Control System; Determine eligibility for continued assistance under WAC 388-418-0030; Coordinate and conduct pre-hearing meetings; Arrange for subpoenas to be issued by the Assistant Attorney General or DFI when necessary;
Represent the CSO in Administrative Hearings;
Prepare Fair Hearing Reports or similar documents as an attachment to exhibits in the Administrative Hearing Packet;
Coordinate implementation of all decisions.

Qualifications:
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: One year of experience as a Financial Services Specialist 3. DESIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of financial, medical, and food assistance programs.
Expert knowledge of computer systems used by DSHS
Ability to use good inte! rviewing and listening skills, especially in emotionally charged situations
Ability to explain program requirements so they can be understood by the public
Knowledge of Public Disclosure laws
