Attorney Duties: Working with sales and marketing, operations, IT and HR teams to provide advice regarding worldwide compliance with applica! ble privacy and data security laws, standards and corporate policies; Reviewing technology and product designs in order to advise business and engineering teams on privacy compliance for company products and services; Partnering with company s Trustworthy Computing organization in support of training and compliance programs, as well as developing and updating corporate policies and standards related to privacy; Responding to inquiries from LCA colleagues and business groups across the company and from international subsidiaries regarding privacy requirements applicable to their activities, including assistance with transactions; Assisting government affairs professionals around the world with engagement on privacy and security legislation and related regulatory developments.
Qualifications: A J.D. degree (or equivalent legal degree from a non-US jurisdiction) from an accredited college or university is required with a strong preference for excellent academic! credentials. 5+ years of experience as a practicing attorney,! with solid experience supporting complex regulatory and compliance issues. Recent experience with privacy compliance issues. Experience with marketing issues, employee privacy, privacy by design and/or international privacy laws is preferred. Knowledge and passion for technology. Highly organized, efficient and process focused. Ability to prioritize well, effectively manage multiple tasks and meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong networking and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and across disparate groups, teams and reporting lines. Ability to work independently and effectively in a loosely structured team environment that demands a high degree of cooperation, flexibility, teaming, cross group and real-time responsiveness. Excellent listening skills and proficient oral and written communications. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required with a focus on achieving results that benefit our business as w! ell as the businesses of customers and partners.
