Senior Paralegal - Part Time

- Support the Legal Department's Commercial and Regulatory Law group, in transactional, litigation and regulatory discipline! s.
- Litigation support tasks include accepting service of legal documents, drafting and issuing document preservation notices, and serve as focal point for all discovery activities.
- May occasionally be required to represent the company in small claims court proceedings.
- In-take regulatory enforcement cases brought by FAA, TSA, CBP, etc., make initial discovery requests, schedule informal settlement conferences, maintain case file.
- Support attorneys with aircraft acquisition and financing matters. Maintain files, prepare closing documents, submit international aircraft registry filings and UCC filings.
- Support attorneys in IP matters. Counsel clients on correct IP use, prepare cease & desist letters, and coordinate materials to support company patent applications.
- Act as liaison between outside counsel and Human Resources department to obtain U.S. work credentials for non-immigrant workers, or prospective foreign national ! employees.
- Perform research assignments of a legal or! fact-finding nature. Be proficient on PACER and Lexis or Westlaw.
- Advise clients on state alcoholic beverage service, transport and storage regulations and assist with liquor license applications and renewals.
- Draft demand letters in accounting and other minor commercial disputes.
- In-take, analyze and respond to subpoenas and civil investigation demands.
- Serve on emergency response team to oversee records gathering and retention activities.
- Maintain familiarity and be able to communicate requirements of company?s contracts management and records retention programs.
- Coordinate with and back-up other paralegals and legal coordinators, as the need arises.

- College degree (or equivalent) and/or paralegal certificate from an ABA-accredit! ed program required. Inactive attorneys will also be considered.
- At least five years experience in commercial/regulatory paralegal position in a law firm or corporate environment required
- Ability to locate, interpret and explain basic contract terms required
- Must be resourceful and capable of working across multiple practice areas
- Must be able to prioritize, work independently, and communicate effectively with internal and external audiences.
- Minimum age of 18
