Are you ready for a challenging and! rewarding experience? The Legal and Corporate Affairs (LCA) division at Microsoft has an immediate opening for an experienced employment-based immigration paralegal in our Global Migration group. Under the supervision of a managing attorney, this paralegal will assist with the operational management of Microsoft’s PERM labor certification program, working with our in-house team of attorneys and legal professionals as well as our outside counsel and vendors to maintain legal compliance and promote operational efficiencies in Microsoft’s PERM processes.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing internally developed process and policy documentation
• Managing relationships with recruiters and various process partners
• Working with the internal legal team and outside counsel to promote operational process efficiencies
• Maintaining complete records in accordance with PERM regulations
• Conducting detailed quality ! control review of process implementation
• Generating d! etailed reporting for use in analytics

The successful candidate must have high-volume case management experience, particularly with respect to managing and coordinating the PERM labor certification process for high-volume clientele; have the ability to work effectively across groups and cultures at all levels of the company; and possess exceptional judgment and analytical skills. The candidate must also have demonstrated ability to work effectively and professionally in ambiguous situations, and be a team-focused collaborator. The individual in this role will be expected to provide a high level of legal support, demonstrating a robust understanding of the PERM regulations and a comprehensive understanding of the PERM labor certification stage of the employment-based green card process.

Successful candidates must have:

• B.A./B.S. degree
• Minimum of 4 years of business immigration paralegal experience, in a fast-paced, team-orien! ted environment managing a high volume caseload
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with PERM labor certification applications, including overall PERM program management, individual case drafting and procedures related to case filing
• Process development experience strongly preferred
• Virtual team management experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft technologies, including SharePoint, MS Office suite is a plus
• Familiarity with the technology industry and Microsoft’s core businesses is also a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills
