websites, is looking for a Junior to Intermediate Level
Web Application Developer to jo! in our online team and expand our online
initiatives.
This position is available in the Lower Queen Anne, Seattle, Washington office.
You will advance your web application development skills in
the following areas:
Web Server Scripting: PHP 5,
including API, libraries, frameworks, image manipulation.
SQL Database: ANSI SQL
programming, MySQL 5 features, data definition and administration, relational
database technology
Caching technologies including APC
and Memcache
JavaScript, Prototype/jQuery and
AJAX Technologies: asynchronous data retrieval, rich web interface development,
advanced form validation and security
CSS/XHTML: advanced layout and
design techniques, W3C standards compliance
Building scalable and maintainable
web applications.
E-Commerce Systems: custom
development and integration, secure payment ! gateway interfaces
Use of Amazon S3 & Cloudfront
!
Development of RESTful services
and APIs focused on security and scalability.
Business Analysis: requirements
gathering, use case modeling, prototyping skills and user viewpoint
effectiveness reviews

Qualifications
Requirements
Bachelors degree in CS or
equivalent training
2+ years working with PHP and
MySQL or equivalent web scripting/dat! abase experience
Solid HTML/XHTML/XML development
skills using non-visual tools and IDE’s
Experience working in a Linux
server environment over SSH
Experience using virtual machines
for development and QA
Experience using a source control
system such as Subversion
Strong written, verbal, and visual
communication skills.
Desire to work in close-knit
development teams on multiple fast-track projects
Role and Responsibility
As a Web Application Developer you will:
Apply technical and business
knowledge in developing innovative business and consumer-focused distributed
web systems;
Design, develop, integrate and
implement application components relating to the background processing and user
interface layers of complex database-driven AJAX-fronted systems;
Work hands-on in programming,
maintenance, and support using iterative/rapid ap! plication development
techniques;
Work with other team mem! bers to
determine business objectives, project timelines and appropriate resourcing;
Help establish and communicate
processes, procedures and techniques.
