Description: GCC Consulting is looking of Tax/Attorney/In House/Seattle, Washington right now, this position will be placed in Washington. Senior Tax Analyst Duties: Researching advanced state and local tax issues, working with taxing authorities and outside advisers as necessary, for a company engaged! in highly sophisticated and complex SALT issues and planning. Analyzing and commenting on proposed legislation in various state and local jurisdictions. Researching and implementing planning strategies with respect to new business initiatives. Researching and implementing planning strategies with respect to existing domestic structure. Reviewing financial data for proper application of tax laws, structures. Advising on development and maintenance of accounting systems which provide tax information required to be reported. Assisting with managing SOX 404 compliance and implementation of best practice procedures. Maintaining and communicating knowledge of past, present and potential future tax laws, regulations, rulings, procedures and court decisions.
Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. J.D. and/or MST a plus. CPA will be considered. An understanding of state and local tax concepts. Combination of income and sales tax preferred.! Excellent written and oral communication skills. Detail-orien! ted, organized and able to deliver on tight timelines. Highly motivated, hard working, and able to work in a fast paced environment. Able to clearly and concisely interface with all levels of management. Able to analyze, and review statutes, regulations, and case law, as well as extract data, and make appropriate recommendations. Able to work effectively in a team environment both within the department as well as outside of the department.
