Description: King County is currently seeking to employ Court Coordinator - District Court right now, this vacancy will be delegated in Washington. King County District Court has two Court Coordinator positions that will focus on the training needs of District Court. This posting may also be used to fill Co! urt Coordinator positions that focus on the day to day management of a Courthouse location.

Primary responsibilities of a Court Coordinator include creating a team of employees willing and able to perform their duties, serving as the communication conduit between employees and management, and creating an atmosphere where employees willingly participate and excel. Additional responsibilities include supervising subordinate staff; end of day accounting, ordering supplies, developing and delivering training, and serving as backup to the Court Manager as requested.

Work is performed at a professional level with the expectation of independent judgment and decision making as directed by the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer, Division Director, or Court Manager, his or her designee, or other executive level staff. The Court Coordinator is expected to demonstrate appropriate judgment, role modeling and technical expertise.

Work locations for these posit! ions could be at any of the District Court locations which inc! lude Seattle, Shoreline, Redmond, Bellevue, Issaquah, Renton, Burien, Maleng Regional Justice Center in Kent, or Auburn.

Job Duties:
(MAY VARY BY POSITION)
Assists in maintaining effective working relationships with the Judges, staff, criminal justice agencies, other county agencies and the public.
Assists with the development of new projects and serves on committees as required.
Assists with hiring, discipline and termination processes.
Handles complex issues, questions, sensitive and confidential matters.
Assists in the formulation and implementation of court policies, rules, guidelines and procedures.
Has knowledge of the process and procedures for: passports, bankruptcies, name changes, vehicle impounds, false alarm hearings, zoning ordinances, witness management and the Master Calendar.
Assists with workload distribution and assigns specific tasks to subordinate employees.
Conducts staff meetings as required. Designs, plans, organized, coordinates, schedules and conducts training which will enhance or develop the required tehnical skill of District Court employees.
Demonstrates knowledge of the process and procedures for: Mental Health Court, warrants, search warrants, felony and jail calendars, and inquests.
Evaluates effectiveness of training efforts via evaluations, surveys and other methods; recommends and implements process/training improvements.
Works and provides training at all Court locations.
Writes and applies for grants as necessary to supplement training and resources.
Performs other duties as needed.

Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills:
(MAY VARY BY POSITION)

Thorough knowledge of policies, procedures and laws pertaining to the operation of the King County District Court.
Minimum of three years of progressively responsible management and/or training experience
Must have a bachelor's degree! in a related field of study, including but not limited to public admin! istration, court administration, business administration or criminal justice.
Considerable knowledge of principles of administration, planning, supervision and organization.
Considerable knowledge of local, state, federal laws and regulations that apply to personnel management.
Ability to plan, delegate, and coordinate work.
Ability to identify needs, develop long-range plans and to evaluate the results.
Demonstrated ability to clearly express ideas and recommendations orally and in writing.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with colleagues at the same or higher level, subordinates, union officials, other Court and County employees, as well as persons in other organizations, departments, agencies, and the public.
Knowledge and ability to manage in a union environment.
Demonstrated ability to be effective in group settings as a facilitator. ·
