Job Title: Vice President of Finance and Administration

Job Description:
The Vice President, Finance and Administration is a strategic thought-partner and reports to the President/CEO. This is a hands-on and participative position and leads finance, business planning and budgeting, accounting, human resources, administration, facilities and IT. This is a visible role, both internally with the agency's staff and governing board and externally as a business representative of the organization.

Responsibilities:
Support the President/CEO in the development of the agency's plans as a strategic partner to ensure highly-productive, day-to-day operations.

Participate as a member of the organization's Leadership Team in problem-solving, planning, and strategy developmen! t.

Attend Committee and Board meetings as requested b! y the President/CEO.

Staff Finance Committee meetings.

Supervise 3 direct reports, as follows:
Accounting manager/bookkeeper

External IT provider

External HR provider

With appropriate input from managers, develop Agency budgets and forecasts, including cash forecasting. Present the operating budget and forecasts with variance analysis to the President/CEO and Board.

Work with the Finance Committee, President/CEO and Leadership Team to develop short- and long-term financial plans and projections.

Manage financial operations and cash flow and provide financial information and guidance to the President/CEO and Board and make actionable recommendations on both strategy and implementation.

Prepare all fiscal and accounting reporting activities for the organization including: revenue/expense and balance sheet reports, reports to funding agencies, development and monitoring of organizational and con! tract/grant budgets and information as needed by departments heads and the Board.

Develop and implement policies, systems and procedures over fiscal management and internal controls to ensure that Agency assets are safeguarded and risks minimized. Ensure legal, tax and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions.

Develop and utilize forward-looking, predictive models and financial analyses to provide insights into the organization's operations and business plan, and recommend ways to increase efficacy and efficiency.

Develop and implement Agency policies and standard operating procedures to ensure activities are in compliance with Affiliation Standards and National BBBS policy and procedures.

Play a central role in the initiation, development and implementation of major projects.

Work with bankers, financial advisors, outside auditors, attorneys and other professional advisors.

Oversee the coordination and ac! tivities of independent auditors ensuring all A-133 audit issues are re! solved, and all 403(b) compliance issues are met, and the preparation of the annual financial statements is in accordance with U.S. GAAP and federal, state and other required supplementary schedules and information.

Oversee all accounting functions including review of journal entries, account reconciliations, payables, receivables and Payroll/Benefits administration.

Provide leadership for and actively participate in fundraising activities, donor development, grant seeking, proposal preparation and reporting.

Oversees Grant Management monthly grant billings, collections, reporting and analyses, donor finance management

Further develop BBBSPS's human resources and administration, enhancing professional development, compensation and benefits, performance evaluation, training and recruiting.

Oversee facilities operations including lease negotiations

Evaluate the Agency's risk and manage proper and sufficient property and li! ability coverages, including directors and officers liability

Determine the needs for, assess the viability of internal or external sourcing of, and manage the ongoing provision of activities and services for telecommunications, data systems, office equipment, records management and other vendor relationships.

Contribute to the creation and stewardship of organizational culture and ethos, both internally and externally.

Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Business Management

Minimum 10 years of broad finance and administrative experience with progressively responsible leadership roles.

Proven experience gathering and evaluating administrative and financial information for making recommendations to senior leadership.

Experience at devising and reporting on tracked key performance indicators, and identifying entity risk indicators.

Proficient at modeling for budgets, forecasting, re! porting, and expense and profitability analyses. High attention to deta! il, and able to troubleshoot own work to ensure accuracy. Plus to have experience maximizing accounting system data to streamline and enhance reporting to minimize needing to massage in Excel.

Highly skilled with Excel (intermediate to advanced â€" pivot tables, lookups, scenarios), PowerPoint, Word, and integrated accounting software platforms. SAGE MIP preferred.

Outstanding oral and written communication skills, with the presence to serve as an effective spokesperson for the agency in all financial and administrative matters.

Preferred â€" CPA certification.

Preferred â€" non-profit experience.

Must pass credit and criminal background checks
