Description

Security Governance roles at Group Health are in the midd! le of everything! If you are looking for a position that allows you access to all levels of a large, dynamic organization, a wide variety of projects and technologies, work that addresses risk and how to create a best fit solution to solve problems, Group Health's Enterprise Security team wants you!

You won't be stuck just doing paperwork - there's some, but that will be only 99% of your day. The rest of the time you will be leading and participating in projects, refining process, doing analysis, and talking with business sponsors, vendors, lawyers, security engineers and architects.

You'll be expected to think from the perspective of our team as well as how security intersects with the business of healthcare. You are a self-starter, have high standards and a good sense of humor. You like to solve problems but can focus yourself on the task at hand. You can see the forest as well as the trees, but can work on chopping them down one at a time.

T! he low down on the work of a security specialist:

    !
  • Managing the work of the Security Risk assessment process - involves a bit of cat herding, a bit of delicate arm twisting, a bit of careful coaching and mentoring, and critical thinking on risk and exposure from the security perspective.
  • User Training and Awareness efforts - leveraging your people and presentation skills, putting root cause analysis to work, numbers crunching and leading improvement efforts
  • Process Improvement - fearless enthusiasm for reaching out to others to solve shared problems.
  • Policy, Policy, Policy - it is Governance, after all! Update, review, interpret policy - making it meaningful to the masses.
Are you tired of sitting in lofty towers of security theory or constantly justifying the value of security to your management team? At Group Health, there's meaningful work to get done and people that need healthcare. This could be the place for you. Ready for a challenge?
