Our Seattle-based public Internet company client is recruiting a senior technology attorney to support their Web Services, one of the most rapidly growing businesses within the company at the forefront of "cloud" computing and service industry providing IT infrastructure services such as on-demand compute capacity, storage, content delivery, querying of structured data, message queuing, software-as-service products, and more. This AGC role is a leadership position that involves assisting the business with product development and marketing initiatives. Typical transactions will range from standard contracts to complex, high-dollar-value strategic alliance agreements. The role includes participating in other legal projects as directed, including managing legal issues that arise in existing commercial relationships and handling pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of ten years’ legal experience combined with in- house experience, preferably in a technology company, managing other attorneys. A background in software licensing (including open source), web services/cloud computing or telecommunications is a plus. Must be enthusiastic about technology and enjoy a fast-paced environment.
